"Also to enlighten all men and make plain to them what is the plan [regarding the Gentiles and providing for the salvation of all men] of the mystery kept hidden through the ages and concealed until now in [the mind of] God Who created all things by Christ Jesus." Ephesians 3:9
To enlighten all men and make plain to them what is the plan, means more than just standing on the corner "proclaiming" the gospel. Looking back a few verses, where we talked about Paul's stewardship... it wasn't enough to just proclaim the truth, as a herald might; Paul was lead to stay with the dull of wit and slow of thought, in a compassionate elaborating and explaining all that God has done and to see what a Savior Jesus Christ is. God's, passion that, "not wanting anyone should perish, is now our passion! Amen?
The other thing I see in this verse is that, it seems Paul is reminding us that the salvation of anyone now, besides the Jewish people is not an afterthought of God. God's love for mankind is such that; all along He has intended to bring all us unto Himself... part of His eternal design... if we will now, just accept Jesus Christ as our Savior.
Finally, I don't want to make a big thing of this, because there are other, better scriptures to use to make this argument, but notice Paul says that these things were given to him by God, "Who created all things - by Christ Jesus". Jesus was not created by God, but instead, He created all things! Of course John 1:1 is a clearer passage to study on that issue, but, this is not a slip of words here, at the end of verse 9 and further strengthens what is said elsewhere in the bible to Christ's sovereignty. Amen?
Let's pick up with Ephesians verse 3:10 next time.
I love you.
