Ephesians 3:18-19

"That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God's devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]." Ephesians 3:18

Let's keep to the order of this prayer, friends, because it is brilliant. Paul has asked God to

strengthen our hearts (inner man) through The Holy Spirit (16b),

so that Christ can have all of our heart (17a),

so that He will root us deep in love and founded securely on love (17b),

so that (here in verse 18), together with the rest of Christ's body, we can grasp the experience of God's love in all of it's breadth and length and height and depth.

The more we understand God's love (which is the only thing He did not create), the more we see how it is related to everything that He has created (which is literally everything except Himself (God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit together - love)! That's the breadth and length and height and depth of love! But wait, Paul really lays it out in the next verse...

19. "[That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]"

Is this really achievable? Yes! We will learn why we can be sure it is next time, as we finish chapter 3. Amen?

Let's pick up with Ephesians verse 3:20-21 next time.

I love you.
