"Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]-- Amen (so be it)." Ephesians 3:20
Paul, like others, whom are truly lead by Christ to teach the body (the Church), take moments like these here in verse 21 and 22, to give God the glory and reverence due Him for what we have just learned. So much love has been revealed thus far in this section of God's Word, that to close it up without taking a moment to reflect on His Glory... Lift up our hearts in awe and wonder, would not be very loving.
21. To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever..
This is what we want... We want God to receive the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever... But, we also know that this is what "will" be so. He will receive His glory and it won't be forced. No, whether on our way home or on our way to judgement, every knee shall bow in His presence! Amen? You'll want to stay in His presence for all of eternity, but will you be naked, or clothed with the righteousness of Christ. Oh, precious... Whatever you feel you need to do today to get right for Christ, FORGET about it and GET RIGHT TO CHRIST!
Let's pick up with Ephesians verse 4:1-2 next time.
I love you.
